The
Southern California Scholarship Association is the successor to the
Hollywood Southland Scholarship Association (HSSA). HSSA began producing
the Miss Hollywood/Miss Southland Scholarship Pageant in 1997. The
pageant is an official preliminary to Miss California and Miss America.
Southern California Scholarship Association (SCSA) is assuming responsibility
for producing the Hollywood/Southland pageant, beginning with the 2004 competition.
This year's competition is tentatively scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, December
1 and 2, 2007.
The SCSA organization is completely volunteer; no one
associated with the pageant earns ANY money. All money raised from ticket sales, program book ads and sales,
and other fund-raising activities are used to fund college scholarships for
our winning contestants, to help prepare our titleholders for the Miss California
competition, and to help defray the costs of producing the pageant.
